South Bank Tower

This luxurious redevelopment, situated in the vibrant heart of London’s South Bank, epitomizes high-end residential and office spaces in the city. As a prime residential development, it comprises 173 luxury apartments. DGP Logistics helped plan and deliver the logistics strategy for South Bank Tower.

The development involved the removal of existing cladding and internal strip-out of the Tower and Podium buildings, and the modification of the internal core to 11 floors of the main building (42 floors combined). The final phase of the development was to create residential units within the Tower and transform the Podium structure for commercial and retail space. The welfare facilities were designed and developed by DGP in 3 phases to assist with the expansion of the structure and new basements. Logistics drawings and plans were developed in-house to manage the traffic flow and materials at all stages of the project.

DGP supported the main contractor via local employment development scheme and training apprentices. DGP Local community involvement included assisting the local church in renovating the external gardens and landscaping. Waste management and materials distribution was carried out 24/7 to help alleviate congestion on the hoists and lifts during the day. This was managed using RFID asset tracking and daily coordination with members of site supply-chain. Our involvement was extended to include aftercare services and provide ongoing support through to the completion and handover of the luxury apartments.
